Episode #492 ~ "Mother's Day" Recipe/Scrapbook Gift for My M-I-L

Hi Everyone,

  Happy Thursday! I've been busy working on a gift for my M-I-L for Mother's Day... I am making a Recipe/Scrap Album for all her wonderful, Sicilian recipes that are family favorites.

She came over a couple of weeks ago and showed my hubby and myself how to make her yummy "S" cookies and also her Almond cookies - OMGosh, they sre SO good!!! Sadly though, she arrived with her recipes written out on just notebook paper and stuffed into a large ZipLock Freezer Bag. Well, we can't have that and with that the wheels in my head went into scrapbooking mode! Ha!!!

This has been a fun project and I hope she likes her new recipe book and fills it with many beloved recipes that are enjoyed by so many.

Episode #490 ~ "Birthday Blooms" Card By Stampin' Up!

Happy Saturday Crafty Friends,

I am alittle late in posting this card tutorial on my blog, I actually uploaded it to YouTube on Thursday but have been crazy busy with family stuff. All good things, just a lot going on with scrubby (scrapbooking hubby) and the kiddos.

I cased' this card right out of our catalog and simply changed the background stamp to all time favorite  go-to "Brushstrokes". As you my notice, I use this quite a bit on cards and it reminds me of the Jersey shore for some reason.

I have to say... this is SUCH a beautiful stamp set, the images are just beautiful. With Mother's Day coming, I think it would be perfect and even better on some scrapbook pages. Stay tuned for some pretty cards and pages featuring this lovely stamp set.

Lastly, I hope you all have a relaxing weekend and can spend time doing what you love with those you love. My in-laws are coming over shortly and we are spending the day baking cookies, the yummy italian ones in the shape od an "S" with the sweet glaze and also her almond/fig cookies. Yumm-o!!!
